Revival of Romantic Scottish Musical Brigadoon

Cast and Creative Announced

The Production Company has had an incredibly successful season, most recently with Jesus Christ Superstar, and will top of their year with their final show – Lerner and Loewe’s timeless romantic classic – Brigadoon.

Brigadoon will feature a cast of 28, a band of 21 and a real-life piper playing Scottish bagpipes!

A popular movie musical from the 50s, Brigadoon tells the story of New Yorkers, Tommy Albright and Jeff Douglas get lost on their vacation to the Scottish Highlands. They stumble upon Brigadoon, a mythical village that appears for one day every hundred years. Tommy – who has a fiancé in New York – soon falls in love with Fiona, a young woman from Brigadoon.

Lerner and Loewe’s music will sweep you off your feet as you fall in love with Brigadoon.

Rohan Browne stars as Tommy and Genevieve Kingsford makes her Production Company debut as Fiona. The legendary Nancye Hayes is the matriarch, Mrs. Forsythe, the heart and soul of Brigadoon. Elise McCann is the hilarious Meg, who looks for love in all the wrong places. Joining the headline cast are Luke Joslin as Jeff, Tommy’s fun but cynical best friend who doesn’t believe in love; Stefanie Jones is Jean, Fiona’s sister who is about to marry Charlie, played by Matthew Manahan. Also starring Stephen Hall, Sally Bourne and Joel Granger.


Lerner and Loewe, who created Gigi, My Fair Lady and Camelot, created some of their best loved standards for Brigadoon – Almost Like Being In Love, I’ll Go Home With Bonnie Jean and The Heather on The Hill.
Director Jason Langley, Musical Director Michael Tyack and Costume Desigenr Isaac Lummis who created Dusty last season, return for Brigadoon.
The original production opened on Broadway in 1947 and ran for 581 performances. In 1949, Brigadoon opened at the West End theatre and ran for 685 performances; many revivals have followed. A 1954 film version starred Gene Kelly and Cyd Charisse, and a 1966 television version starred Robert Goulet and Peter Falk.
