Dirty Feet Dancing Through 2023…

Dirty Feet

Keeping Feet Dirty in Diversity!

DirtyFeet is excited to continue on with their three interconnected programs The Right FootEmerging Makers and Out of the Studio.

They are thrilled to see these programs grow, strengthen and feed one into the other as they witness the evolution of Right Foot participants as they are invited to make their way through the Emerging Makers Program and then onto the Out Of The Studio Program.

The Right Foot will continue in 2023 with their two-stream focus:
Community and Emerging Makers.

Emerging Makers Series

These workshops will focus on emerging makers with disabilities who want to cultivate a career in dance and develop their inclusive arts practice. Lead by Sarah-Vyne Vassallo artists will be invited to join this program.

Friday 14, Saturday 15, Sunday 16 August

They are very excited to announce their partnership with PACT in delivering these workshops at their fabulous studio located in Erskineville.

DirtyFeet is invested in putting accessible, diverse and inclusive dance practice at the forefront of its programming.

This year Director Anthea Doropoulos has curated one emerging choreographer and two emerging makers who reflect this; Choreographer/Performer Assam Mohamed and Emerging Maker Artists; Matthew Massaria and Bonnie Curtis.

Each Emerging Maker will work in collaboration with an established choreographer who will create a solo on them. The choreographers are Martin Del Amo and Sarah-Vyne Vassallo.

These new dance works will be presented in September at their newest Partnering venue Sydney Dance Company.

All the Out of the Studio artists will be involved in The Right Foot and they look forward to seeing everyone get their feet dirty in 2023.
