THE GRUFFALO RETURNS TO SYDNEY… WITH HIS CHILD!

Following the extraordinary success of THE GRUFFALO, Christine Dunstan Productions and London’s Tall Stories present the Sydney premiere of its charming sequel, THE GRUFFALO’S CHILD. The magical musical adaptation of the much loved children’s book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler will play at the Seymour Centre from April 8-21, 2011, just in time for the Easter school holidays.
THE GRUFFALO, which has played to more than 200,000 children in Australia and New Zealand and had sell-out seasons on Broadway and West End, delighted Sydney audiences in 2009 and 2010 and was the winner of the 2009 Sydney Theatre Award for Best Children’s Production.
Now, the team behind THE GRUFFALO return to Sydney with its delightful sequel, as the Gruffalo’s young child goes on her first solo adventure in the deep dark wood. As she searches a beautiful winter landscape for the mysterious Big Bad Mouse, she meets the much loved characters from THE GRUFFALO, learns some valuable lessons… and has a lot of fun!
THE GRUFFALO’S CHILD brings together physical theatre, paw-tapping music and beautiful puppetry to deliver songs, laughs and scary fun for children aged 4 and up, and their adults.
