Tribute to Michael Falzon from the Sydney Opera House

On Demand from August 22

The Sydney Opera House‘s digital 2020 program presents Swing On This recorded live in the Concert Hall in 2018 with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

Swing on This is an encore presentation paying tribute to the late musical theatre stage star Michael Falzon, who passed away from cancer in June this year. The production brought together some of Australia’s leading stage and screen stars and the Sydney Symphony with their take on all-time swing classics. This recording stars Michael Falzon (We Will Rock YouThe War of the Worlds Arena Tour), Luke Kennedy (The VoiceThe Ten Tenors), Rob Mills (WickedGhost the Musical) and Ben Mingay (WonderlandHouse of Bond). This sensational group delivers a modern and audacious take on all-time swing classics from Frank Sinatra to Michael Bublé and features well-swung interpretations of hits from the likes of Oasis, John Farnham and The Proclaimers.

Conducted by Vanessa Scammell; Musical Direction & Piano by Craig Schneider; Directed & Choreographed by Christopher Horsey; and produced by Good Egg Creative and GWB Entertainment.
