PART THEATRE, PART CIRCUS – UNIT 4

Abandoned1The highly skilled performers of leading physical theatre company, Dislocate, are swinging into The Reginald Theatre at the Seymour Centre this September for their World Premiere, UNIT 4.
Physically exhilarating, UNIT 4 combines acrobatics, aerials and dance to explore the themes of living and dying with dignity. Set in an apartment block on the eve of demolition, we experience the beauty, elegance and poignancy of life and death through the eyes of five generations of tenants.
A Buster Keaton style trio of tradesmen hilariously bumble their way between each decade, recreating the ambience of the era, and pave the way for the next tenant’s life story. We discover that memories within UNIT 4 do live on. The building is set to blow…and we are about to uncover its fate.
Dislocate inhabit this curious world to deliver a work that is humorous, boldly demanding, moving and entertaining. UNIT 4 is a highly physical and emotive work in the convention of a linear narrative portrayed through risk taking physical theatre.
UNIT 4 is performed by Geoff Dunstan, Kate Fryer and Alex Harrison, directed by Kate Fryer and produced by Marguerite Pepper Productions.
