MÁTALOR – A HARD ROCK DANCE OPERA

MatalorWebjpegLocal Aussie Talent set to Dazzle in World Premiere
Mátalor is a conceptual hard rock dance opera based on an avant-garde imagining of the greatest love story ever told. Featuring electrifying choreography performed to exhilarating live music, Mátalor promises to shock, entertain and inspire. You think you know Romeo and Juliet. You don’t.
Choreographed by Stephan Agisilaou (Creative Director of Vertical Shadows, Choreographer on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’) and Adam Blakey (Multi Australian Dancesport Championships Winner).
Mátalor performed by some of Australia’s most talented dancers and musicians, Mátalor combines contemporary, jazz, Latin and ballroom dance to dynamic effect.
From the athleticism of the opening number that sees tribes go to war in a rigorous street fight to the dreamlike masquerade ball, the audience is held captive throughout this innovative piece of dance theatre. Mátalor is a provocative choreographic exploration of passion, allegiance, freedom and love.
Mátalor. Get rocked to your core.
