DanceLife recently spoke to Bianca …
Q: What is the best advice you have ever been given?
“The best advice I’ve been given is that no matter what just keep going … no matter how many times you fall down you’ve always got to pick yourself back up again. All those times you’ve been pushed to the ground and been told ‘No’, there is something that’s going to come up, that something will eventually arise … That’s what has kind of kept me going.”
Q: Who are your heroes?
“I LOVE Beyoncé! She’s very fierce … I’ve always loved her music and looked up to her fierceness; I always put that into my dancing on stage … I really look up to her presence.”
“I also really look up to this author named Rupi –  she has incredible quotes about feminism and life … I guess I really look up to her morals and her standards about just being a woman!”
Q: What do you enjoy doing when you aren’t dancing or performing?
“Reading, seeing friends, yoga … I really enjoy doing yoga and I draw!”
Q: Where do you hope to be in 5 years time?

“I really hope to be in a contemporary company … working with any choreographer around Europe or Australia! That’s a big goal for me … I’d love to be overseas as well just seeing what’s out there!”
Q: What’s in store for you in 2017?
“In 2017 I’ll be a part of the Dream Dance Company so I’ll be performing and touring with them, rehearsing quite a lot as well as working on the side and training a lot still, taking classes … I’m hoping to do classes around Australia with contemporary companies.”
Bianca is currently 20, started dancing at the age of 9 at All Starz Performing Arts Studio then furthered her training at Ev&Bow Full-Time Dance Training centre for 2 years receiving a Diploma in Dance (Majoring Classical/ Contemporary).
“Throughout my dance journey I have been lucky enough to be have been influenced under teachers/mentors such as Sarah Boulter, Adam Blanch and Catherine Goss. I was also lucky enough to be invited to take part in Lucy Guerins – “The Dark Chorus” 5day Secondment in Melbourne as well as being accepted to train overseas with The Kibbutz Contemporary Dance 5month training program. Just recently I have been accepted into season 3 of the Dream Dance Company 2017 choreographed by Sarah Boulter, under the direction of Marko Panzic.”
