You must be a junior or senior in high school or a high school graduate for your audition to be considered for acceptance into the Conservatory and BFA programs. A College and Conservatory All in One
Whether you choose a Conservatory or Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) Program, you’ll receive intensive, hands-on instruction from the best and brightest professionals in the industry. Emphasising creative maturity, stylistic depth and professional excellence, every program the school offers is designed to help you reach your full artistic potential through a deep-rooted foundation in the performing arts.
Bachelor of Fine Arts – Degree Programs
Designed to transform talented individuals into well-rounded artists, the Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree programs combine a comprehensive college education with extensive performance opportunities and rigorous conservatory-level artistic training. BFA Degree Programs in Acting, Music Theatre, Dance Theatre and Performing Arts are offered through AMDA Los Angeles, with the option to spend a semester of study on the New York campus.
Associates of Occupational Studies
The Associate of Occupational Study (AOS) programs encourage individual artistic growth and discovery within a comprehensive yet concise four-semester trajectory. Students select a focus in one of three primary areas of study: Acting, Musical Theatre, or Dance Theatre. The blend of courses and performance opportunities offered emphasizes a respect for craft combined with professional standards, mirroring those necessary to succeed in the competitive performing arts industry.
Conservatory Performing Arts – Certificate Programs
The Conservatory Performing Arts Programs focus on intensive, practical instruction that provides a solid foundation for a successful career in the performing arts. All Conservatory Programs are offered through AMDA New York and AMDA Los Angeles.
The High School Summer Conservatory
AMDA’s High School Summer Conservatory offers a fully immersive performance experience for the aspiring actor, singer or dancer. Offered over two, four or six week terms at either AMDA Los Angeles or AMDA New York, students between 8th and 12th grade learn the fundamentals of their craft on stage while getting a glimpse of the AMDA college experience.
