CLIMAX OPENS THIS THURSDAY

Climax: the highest or most intense point in the development or resolution of something. A decisive
moment that is of maximum intensity or is a major turning point in a plot.
Collaboration The Project under the direction of Australia’s fastest-rising choreographic talent, Paul
Malek; has a new show set to heat things up in Melbourne. The highly anticipated “Climax” opens at Theatre Works in St Kilda on Thursday October 14th. Malek explores becoming the passenger to ones temptations, the journey and the consequences on reaching one’s “Climax”.
The complex story line is delivered with gut wrenching passion and conviction, will leave you guessing and enthralled from the hectic opening scene to the mind-boggling finale.
In a nutshell, “Climax” is intense, hard-hitting, emotionally challenging and positively heart stopping. Playing for a strictly limited season, this is Collaboration The Project’s most daring project to date, a must see production.
The cast includes some of the country’s most exciting dance talent including Kim Adam, Ray Balisoro, Kyle Booth, Sarah Clarke, Alexandra Gray, Trent Harlow, Tyler Hawkins, Emily Keane, Beau McCleish, Ashleigh Perrie & Max Trengrove.
Founded in June 2008 by Paul Malek & Kim Adam, Collaboration The Project quickly moved to the forefront in producing performance opportunities for local dancers from around Melbourne. In the past 18 months Paul Malek has Directed, Choreographed and Produced “Inhale The Showcase”,”Beat N Move Euphoric”, “An Evolution Of Love”, “Time – A Story Of Youth”, “Down The Rabbit Hole”, “Parkland Avenue” and “Immersed” Melbourne Dance Industry Night with Rhonda Burchmore. Malek also Produced 2nd Toe’s “Something Blew” A Triple Bill.
Paul Malek has also developed a 12 level Jazz syllabus for Australian Teachers of Dancing,which is now taught in schools throughout Australia, Asia, United Kingdom and Norway. His Choreography was also featured on Channel 10’s “So You Think You Can Dance”.Collaboration
The Project recently won three awards at Short + Sweet Dance Melbourne 2010 (Best Choreography, Peoples Choice & Best Female Dancer) for “Collection of Forgotten Treasures”.
“Climax” is their 5th major installment.
