AUDITION

Classical Ballet Advancement Program

Sunday 2nd April

Talia Fowler is launching her new program to enhance classical ballet dancers and complement their existing training. Talia was the winner of Season 2 of So You Think You Can Dance Australia in 2009.

Register now to audition this Sunday April 2nd for the Classical Advancement Program. Auditions will be held at Academy Ballet Studios in Alexandria, Sydney.

Clare Morehen – Principal dancer with the Queensland Ballet for 13 years – will be joining Talia on the panel for the auditions.

The Program offers 1.5hr weekly classical masterclasses on Sunday mornings with Talia Fowler plus and a few of the industry’s best as special guest coaches throughout the term. Currently, the guest faculty includes Paul Knobloch (Bejart Ballet, LINES Ballet, Ballet Master for The Australian Ballet Company), Kevin Chen (Sydney Dance Company),  and Daniel Jaber (Dance Moms, Director Leigh Warren Dance, Guest Choreographer Houston Ballet).

The program is open to dancers aged 10-18 years.

Our 2017 Term 2 session runs for 10 weeks from April 30th – June 25th.

(Term 3 session will re-audition in June)

“The advantage of this program is that it allows students to further enhance their classical training without taking away from their regular dance schedules. I’m wanting to provide an option for young dancers who want to do extra classical practice, but one that works alongside current training and doesn’t undermine it,” said Talia.

“We are not affiliated with any particular school. These are open masterclass sessions with working dancers, choreographers and leaders in the industry.”

“It’s all about inspiring the students. Advancing your classical training can add so much for your career as a dancer, no matter what field you see yourself in.”

Payment details are provided upon acceptance into the program.

Register now to info@classicaladvancement.com to secure your place for our audition day – Sunday April 2nd

Video submissions will be accepted till April 6 – register for details.

To what m it may concern,
This Sunday is the RAD scholarships. Is there an opportunity to send a DVD. The dancer is 14. She lives in rural far north nsw and travels for the Qld ballet extension program. Also wondering if there will be any scholarship opportunities.
    Kind regards,
    Kimberley
