THE DISCO BUS ARRIVES IN LONDON

THE DISCO BUS ARRIVES IN LONDONHit Australian musical Priscilla is performing their first show (previews) right now at London’s Palace Theatre, ahead of a March 23 opening night.
The show, which premiered in Sydney in 2006, is based on the 1994 film of the same name and focuses on three drag queens who make their way across the Australian desert in a battered old bus, learning about themselves along the way.
Priscilla, Queen of the Desert: The Musical is co-produced by Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Group, and the producer of the Australian show, Liz Koops. Koops said the musical has stayed true to the Australian script for its northern hemisphere debut. “One of the things that [Really Useful Group] felt was that the English general public have a similar sense of humour; they will get the jokes.” Amongst the cast are a number of Aussies including Tony Sheldon, Jason Donovan and some amazing dancers.
