New Pre-Professional Dance Course

Dance Editorial Pre-Professional Dance Course Commences May 1st!

Dance Editorial is a platform that explores dance, music and fashion. Founder Shannon Hsu is now embarking on a new project to inspire, educate and motivate dancers with the launch of Dance Editorial Pre-Professional Dance Course.
“Our first program is for Elite dancers aged 12-17 years old, who dream of one day becoming a professional dancer. The course is their chance to train and learn from industry choreographers and dancers on an elite level, in an intimate class setting, getting one on one invaluable training from the best in the Australian industry,” said Shannon Hsu.
More than just dance training, the program looks at enriching the lives of young dancers by looking after their mind, body and soul. Aside from working with industry choreographers, each week the course will concentrate on different skill sets, from a variety of dance styles plus yoga, audition techniques, nutritional, mental and physical health information, full time dance school options, career options and all the essential skills to have longevity in the industry.
As part of the Dance Editorial PPDC, seven young dancers will be chosen to be ‘proteges’ to feature in a production and go on to mentor other young dancers!
Onboard to work with the students in the first intake of PPDC are:
* Rob McLean * Carly Cooper * Stephen Tannos * Sarah Vai * Andrew Huynh * Katie Sanchez * Shivwan Joubert * Will Sanchez * Lucy Doherty * Kiara Doherty * Marina Passalaris *
Dance Editorial Pre-Professional Dance Course will commence 1st May and run every Sunday of Term 2 until 3rd July, concluding with a showcase in the final week.
