Kenny Wizz brings MICHAEL JACKSON HISTORY II

Kenny Wizz as Michael Jackson

After a huge response to tours in 2010 and 2012, Las Vegas’ premier Michael Jackson impersonator Kenny Wizz returns to major cities in Australia to again thrill fans as the King of Pop in MICHAEL JACKSON HISTORY II.
The show’s success has seen it constantly touring the world since its inception in 2010 including recent shows in the USA, Canada, Dubai, Indonesia and New Zealand. This will be the third major tour to Australia.
Gathering a legion of followers throughout the world – some who travel internationally to see the show – Kenny Wizz’s fans recognise him as not only an incomparable performer but also a dedicated and respectful MJ fan himself who is passionate about doing ‘justice’ to his idol and who has obviously spent many years perfecting his craft.
The musical tribute journeys through Jackson’s vast and incredible catalogue of work including his beginnings as a member of the Jackson 5, his groundbreaking theatrics in the 80s and his evolution onward into the 21st century as he became one of the most influential and revered performers of all time.
Australia’s own Showtime Management will again helm production and deliver a Vegas-worthy show featuring a live band of international musicians, choreographed dancers, over 200 specialty lights and an LED wall, plus authentic costumes and sets.
Kenny Wizz
HIStory II is the result of more than two decades of dedication from Kenny Wizz to perfecting “the art of sharing MJ”. Wizz was just twenty when Michael Jackson’s career exploded with the release of the pivotal album ‘Thriller’ and it was Wizz’s aesthetic similarities to MJ that first steered him towards his career. Regular performances in Atlantic City gratified audiences and allowed Wizz to perfect his act and after tours in Europe and Asia he settled in Las Vegas where his show was signed to the Riviera Hotel and Casino for 11 years.
Wizz was shattered by Jackson’s death in June 2009 and he closed down his act but eventually returned in answer to the many calls from fans begging him to continue. “My decision [to return] was more about giving back to fans rather than making money,” he said.
Wizz feels Jackson’s death has made concertgoers more critical of his performances.  “It’s more difficult because my act is observed through a microscope now he’s gone. People want the closest thing possible.”
Today Wizz is widely considered the best Michael Jackson impersonator in the world.
Michael Jackson
Repeatedly described as a musical juggernaut, Michael Jackson’s influence on popular culture and music is virtually unparalleled. Beside his inductions into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Hollywood Walk of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame, Jackson received 13 Grammy awards and 26 American Music Awards including “Artist of the Century” during his career.
His full roll of accolades, however, is almost too massive to mention, and for most the focus weighs more heavily on the music and iconic performances Jackson has shared with the world since the 1960s.
Since Jackson’s death in 2009, fans continue to grapple with their loss in a multitude of ways, such as contributing to the 8.2 million Jackson albums sold in that year alone. Along with the cinema release of This Is It, DVD’s, merchandise and games, Billboard estimated that Jackson generated over $1 billion in revenue since his death.
Jackson continues to be one of the most loved characters in pop culture, with his Facebook Fan Page clocking over 64 million subscribers as at 2013.

“Music has been my outlet, my gift to all the lovers in this world. Through it, my music, I know I will live forever.” – Michael Jackson
