DirtyFeet’s popular The Right Foot workshops are back this September and October.
The Right Foot offers FREE contemporary dance workshops for young people aged 14-26 with, and without disability, providing a creative activity for those who may otherwise not have access to dance. The workshops are an important professional pathway for aspiring young artists, offering linkages to the dance sector and excellent training and skills development relevant to current contemporary dance practices. DirtyFeet is committed to the professional development of young dancers with disability and are passionate about finding ways for professional artists to give back to the community. They believe in the positive impact dance has on people’s lives – it is a creative way to improve health and fitness, encourage self-expression and build confidence.
The workshops will be facilitated by Brianna Kell and Sarah-Vyne Vassallo.
“I love dance and it is a new experience for me engaging with people and other activities … I had so much fun. It helped me socialise more.” Melanie Magpayo, Right Foot participant 2013.
